TPK „Nov Svyat” was established in 1945, initiated by a group of craftsmen - tailors who, using their own machines and equipment, started the manufacture of clothes which were distributed among citizens in the form of rations.

   In a short while and in spite of all difficulties and hardships, the cooperative firm of the organization managed to make a name for it and demonstrate its advantages. The cooperation was quick to extend its business. The number of production units increased and the first sections for ladies’ orders and knitting services were open. This rapid development and extension of business trend was maintained during the 50-ties and the beginning of the 60-ties, when the manufacture of confection for the domestic market and for export was prevailing, and the first bigger specialized groups for making skirts, trousers, dresses, shirts and coats differentiated. At the same time a new production building was constructed and as of the time of its opening in 1957, the manufacture volume had increased more than 2 times, the export manufacture reached up to 45 thousand pieces per year, and the number of employed cooperator members reached 360 people.
   In the period after the beginning of the 60-ties, in the spirit of new economic policy, priority in the development of the cooperation was given to those activities related to rendering services to the population. In a relatively short period of time more than 30 service objects were built on the territory of the municipality. The range and nomenclature of services grew bigger while new forms of service were introduced. The cooperation was established as a leader for the region and the country in satisfying population’s need of tailoring services. In the 70-ties, as a consequence of restructuring of the cooperative system and the transferring of activities form one enterprise to the other, the building of the next cooperation base started. In 1981 that base was complete and provided with all utilities. A new and undeveloped up to that moment manufacture of blankets, carpets, rugs, fringes, quilts and mattresses was organized there. A new workshop was opened for the manufacture of ladies’ topcoats with a capacity for the yearly manufacture of 50 000 pieces.
   The modern base, the opening of new activities, the developed specialization and improvement of quality of goods and services serve as the ground for achieving unprecedented rates and indicators of development. Because of the results achieved in two consecutive years, TPK “Nov Svyat” is a winner of various prizes, while in 1982 the company is the national leader in the tailoring – textile branch of the system of cooperative organizations.
   Three years later, in 1985, in the recently built most modern of its time base for complex population servicing, the fashion house “Yana” was opened for the manufacture of boutique and vanguard sports wear. That was the brand with which the cooperation took part in a number of national and international fairs. Due to its good performance at the prestigious “Intermoda – 86” competition, TPK “Nov Svyat” is appointed as the host of the next edition of the forum in 1987.
   The transition to market economy in the beginning of the 90-ties affected the cooperation. The temporary drops in manufacture and movement of cadres were quickly got properly under control. A process of stabilization and restoration of the nationalized property and modernization of the base started. In the period 2002 – 2005 the investment project “Reconstruction and modernization of the technologic equipment and the building fund” was implemented, and it changed the face of the cooperation entirely.
   Today TPK “Nov Svyat” is one flexible and competitive company with available modern base and up-to-date equipment with clearly expressed specialization and good positions on the market.
   Recognition of the achievements and quality commitment is the “International Gold Star for Commitment to Quality”, awarded to TPK “Nov Svyat” in Paris, 2005.
